Shade Zone has a long relationship with The Hut Restaurant on the Isle of Wight. Spanning to nearly a decade, this business has repeatedly returned to Shade Zone to help expand their business, and with investment, have increased their capacity and profit capabilities. The Hut has grown from a modest coastal diner to a multi storey, expansive restaurant where travellers can relax whilst waiting for their ferry.
The importance of good relationships shows in this project, as Shade Zone ensures to travel to site and oversee the installation of systems to keep the customer happy and that their vision is realised.
The latest development to The Hut was the installation of 4 Med Island canopies, all with fully retractable roofs which include LED lighting and sliding glass panels. Coupled together, these canopies cover an expansive 110sqm of outdoor dining space which has been fundamental in retaining success during the era of social distancing.
Outdoor dining space is key to maintaining success throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, lockdown and social distancing regulations. Failure to adapt to the changing world in which we live will result in a progressive decline in takings, as other businesses who did develop their outdoor spaces will be able to welcome in more customers at any one time, even more so once social distancing regulations are lifted.
